Annoying Dollar Tree find

So to get the Sunday paper we just stop off at the Dollar Tree in East Pasco (because it's on our way home from church) and buy a paper there because it's only $1 (instead of paying $1.75 at Albertsons). Well, the poor Mitsubishi Galante is out of commission right now (that's another interesting story/annoyance; if you want to know about it just ask) so we had to take the pickup to church and I have to sit in the back because Dallin's carseat won't fit in the back (and yes, I know you're not supposed to put babies in the front seat, but it's what we have to do right now). Because of that whole situation, Stephen went into the Dollar Tree to buy the paper (this last Sunday). When he came back out with the paper he told me that he accidentally hit the cash back button so he just got $10 cash back. I said to him "why didn't you cancel it and start over?" That's what I do (it happens very rarely). Anyways, I didn't bother to look at the receipt until today because I balanced the check book and saw that that transaction was $12 instead of $11. So when I find the receipt there was a $1 fee for getting cash back. ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?! Sigh. It's also a good motivator to get our subscription for the Sunday newspaper (finally). We agreed that we would do it once we paid off the fridge (yay!) so we wouldn't have to stop off and waste the gas and time to go buy one at the store.

And yes, I know it's only a dollar, but to me, I don't care if it's a penny, I like my money in my bank account, not someone else's. We could have bought another paper for crying out loud and got twice the coupons!
